Is there a best way to breathe when lifting weights?

Video Transcription:
When you actually lift the weight, what we call the work phase, we like to advise that you actually exhale, because it becomes a lot easier for the body to generate power for you to do the lift. And then when you bring the weight back down, we'd like for you to definitely inhale, which would be the resting phase of the muscle tissue, where, again, it allows you to have the ability to restore quickly and have the ability to lift that weight back again. At the same time there are going to be exceptions involved where there is going to be bouts where you will slightly hold your breath, which we don't always advocate, but it seems the norm. But, most of the time we want to exhale when we do the work phase, inhale when we do the rest phase.
