Everyone's caloric requirement is different. This number is based on your age, your gender, your level of activity, how much body fat or how much lean body mass you have. There are ways to test out your metabolism, but, as a general guide, if your goal is to lose weight you would just take your weight or goal weight and multiply it by roughly 12-15 calories per pound. This is going to give you a number that you can use that you can to determine how many calories you need to eat during the day and divide that by 6 and plan your diet around that. The best thing to do again is to visit a health care professional or a registered dietician to determine your daily requirements. Because they're very individualized based on all those factors I discussed.
