A general guideline is anywhere between 45 and 50 % of your calories should come from complex carbohydrates, 20 to 25 from protein and the rest from essential fats. I mean you can definitely afford an occasional treat, but if you can just focus on the types of fat and the types of carbohydrates, and get plenty of fiber, meaning vegetables and fruits, you'll definitely be consuming a balanced diet.
